Eye Care in Lewistown, PA
Meet the Doctors
Doctors Robert and Richard are proud to follow in the footsteps of their father, Dr. Claude F. Burns, who began the practice in 1932. While he did not intentionally encourage either of his sons to pursue the profession, they both took similar paths and found themselves returning to Lewistown to join in working with their father.
Both Robert and Richard are natives of Lewistown and are members of the American Optometric Associations, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, as well as the Mid-Counties Optometric Society. They each are certified by the Pennsylvania board of Optometric Examiners in the optometric use of therapeutic medications and the treatment of glaucoma. They also have served in the capacity of adjunct staff with Lewistown Hospital as Allied Health Practitioners.
